Last week, we enjoyed a field trip to the Pamplin Historical Park in Petersburg, Virginia. Despite the rain, the kids had a great time and explored all aspects of the Civil War.

Exploring artifacts to learn about field slave, house slave, farmer, and plantation owner lives |
In addition to the activities in the above pictures, we explored the museum on site, walked through a plantation house, slave quarters, and learned about life in Confederate army camps.
