Reading Group Project
One of our reading groups, the Sweet Frogs, recently finished a book by Avi titled Something Upstairs. They created a project to showcase the main events of the story (and their summarizing skills) and they shared with the class today. A job well done, Sweet Frogs!

Pamplin Park Field Trip
Last week, we enjoyed a field trip to the Pamplin Historical Park in Petersburg, Virginia. Despite the rain, the kids had a great time and explored all aspects of the Civil War.
A big thank you to our 10 (yes, 10!) chaperones for accompanying us.
In addition to the activities in the above pictures, we explored the museum on site, walked through a plantation house, slave quarters, and learned about life in Confederate army camps.
